On Wednesday 8th Sept the Society's AGM will take place at 5-30pm (straight after the last presentation). It is important that members of the Society that are present attend in order to help the smooth running of the Society.

On Thursday 9th Sept there is a Delegate's Session between 11 and 12-30. This is designed to allow anyone at the conference to give a planned (or impromptu) presentation on work in progress or recently completed. The slots will be either 5 or 10 minutes (your choice). If you would like to book a slot please email steve8@mdx.ac.uk with your name and a working title for the presentation.

Travelling to the Summer School
Chancellors Hotel and Conference Centre is conveniently situated in Fallowfield, just three miles south of Manchester city centre. Please use these maps and travel instructions to find your way to the venue.
By Train
Long distance trains arrive at Manchester Piccadilly Station. From there either take a taxi (approx. 15 minutes) or take a five minute walk to Piccadilly Bus Station. There are a lot of bus services to Fallowfield along Wilmslow Road, the most frequent being 42 and 43.
By Air
Manchester International Airport is approximately 5 miles from Chancellors (about 25 minutes by taxi). Bus service 43 runs from the Airport to Manchester City Centre along Wilmslow Road. Alight at Fallowfield for Chancellors Hotel.
By Road from the North
From the M61 join the M60 following signs for Manchester Airport. Then join the M602 (signposted Manchester). Follow signs for Manchester Airport onto the A57. At the roundabout take the 3rd exit (A5103), after approximately one and a half miles turn left at the traffic lights into Wilbraham Road (A6010). At the 4th set of traffic lights, turn left into Chancellors Way. Chancellors Hotel and Conference Centre is situated on the left hand side opposite the Armitage Sports Centre.
By Road from the South
Leave the M6 at Junction 19 (Knutsford), turn right onto the A556 and follow signs for Manchester Airport. At the next roundabout, take the 3rd exit for the M56 (Manchester). Take right hand lanes to the end of the motorway and join the A5103 keeping straight ahead (signposted Manchester City Centre). At the 5th set of traffic lights turn right onto Wilbraham Road (A6010, signposted Sheffield). At the 4th set of traffic lights turn left onto Chancellors Way. Chancellors Hotel and Conference Centre is situated on the left hand side opposite the Armitage Sports Centre.
By Road from the East
At the end of the M67 turn left onto the M60 (Stockport). Leave the M60 at Junction 5 and join the A5103 signposted Manchester City Centre. At the 5th set of lights turn right onto Wilbraham Road (A6010, signposted Sheffield). At the 4th set of traffic lights turn left onto Chancellors Way. Chancellors Hotel and Conference Centre is situated on the left hand side opposite the Armitage Sports Centre.
